Under the FSW Program, 50 occupations have been mentioned, and to meet the high demand, each individual will be duly assessed on the basis of the same criteria. Much like the year 2013, you will be analyzed through the well-known point based system. To make the grade, it is mandatory to score 67 points out of 100 points up for grabs. Points will be given on the basis of following factors:
1. Work experience: You can earn up to 15 points for paid skilled experience acquired during the last 10 years.
2. Educational qualifications: You can earn up to 25 points.
3. Language proficiency in either of the two Canadian official languages, i.e., English and French: You can earn up to 28 points; 24 points are fixed for first official language and 4 points for the second official language.
4. Age: You can earn up to 12 points.
5. Adaptability: You can earn up to 10 points.
6. Arranged job: You can earn up to 10 points.
Important: A total cap of 25000 has been imposed on the 50 occupations mentioned under the FSW program. In case your application does not meet the required criteria, it will not be entertained further. Allegedly, it is exciting–both for Canada and the applicants–to see a long list of the in-demand occupations. It is likely that the popular occupations may meet the cap soon.
Besides, meeting the above requirements, the applicants will be expected to provide financial proof of their capability to support themselves and their family in the Maple Leaf Country. And before the final verdict is delivered, each individual along with their family members will have to clear the mandatory medical test.
The competition is tough, and it is very likely that only the most deserving and qualified candidates will be granted entry. Application time period varies for each aspirant even as the processing fees depend on the exchange rate. It is expected that the selection process will be precise, and only the most qualified applicants will be given entry. If you are not one of them, it is likely you may get a thumps up the next time. So keep trying!
Petition Upper Limit: Thanks to the large figure of the submission that the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) get, just a restricted figure of petitions are considered every year. Presently, there is an overall limit of 25,500 for the new petitions for the Canada Federal Skilled Worker. The same comprises a limit of 500 petitions presented from the students pursuing PhD.
Sub-limits of 1,000 for every of the 50 entitled professions also are there. However, individuals with a legal employment offer need not worry as the limits do not affect them. Significantly, these are the last petitions that will be admitted via the present structure prior to Express Entry gets officially launched during the month of January the next years, i.e., 2015.
