Points are awarded as follow:-
I. Applicant can score 5 points if he has successfully completed one year of higher educational programme in an EU/EEA country or Switzerland.
II. The second option is the aspirant must have completed not less than a three years higher educational programme in an EU/EEA country or Switzerland. Eligible candidates may score 10 points.
Work Experience: Points are awarded as follow:
I. Applicants with an experience of 3 to 5 years, in an occupation mentioned on the positive list, may score 15 points.
II. Candidates–with an experience of 1 to 2 years in an occupation mentioned on the positive list–may score 15 points.
III. Aspirants with experience in other field may score 5 points.
Language Skills: An applicant may score up to 30 points on the basis of his language proficiency, in any of the following languages, namely, Swedish, English, Danish, German or Norwegian. Language skills are duly assessed on the basis of four level systems. Applicants are also required to submit a statement appropriately attested by the last employer that any of the language mentioned has been used by the candidate, at least for last one year while on the job.
I. Initially, a permit is issued or offered for a period of three years with the possibility of further extension of four years.
II. Once a person has successfully spent seven years in Denmark, he is entitled to submit an application for the prized and the much sought after citizenship of the nation.
